Gum disease is painless and you may not even know you have it and caused by plaque.
At early stages of gum disease the gums can become red, swollen and bleed easily. At this point the gum disease is reversible and can usually be eliminated through treatment which may include scaling, root planning, polishing and re-evaluation of treatment.
